G-shock’s and Diesel watches are monstrous but still have their fan following. To put some perspective - I wear 44mm watch on 16cm wrist. It looks and feel perfect despite the fact that I have a skinny wrist. That being said, 44mm does have some advantages over 40. Bigger screen translates to better touch/area.

I labored over this very decision in a really big way. I've got pretty small wrists and I went with the 44mm. In the world of horology outside of the Apple Watch I'd never in a million years consider anything over 42mm despite the fact that the trend has been toward (in many cases absurdly) large sizes. The Apple watch is different though.
